Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with more than 22%
agricultural lands, or with more than 6% agricultural lands and flat
terrain. In regions with less agricultural lands, it occurred mostly where
June minimum temperature (hex. avg.) is 4.18-11.54� C. Among
hexagons that lack agricultural lands, it occurred mainly in the
hexagons that have some towns and cities instead. The logistic
regression analysis showed positive or negative association with
agricultural lands, towns and cities, road density, elevation (hex. avg.),
April precipitation (hex. med.), April maximum temperature (hex.
avg.), the extent of public land, July maximum temperature (hex. avg.),
and-to a lesser degree-topographic variation and sagebrush steppe.
